Homeopathic Treatment
Homeopathic constitutional treatment is a centuries-old system of holistic medicine used around the world and supported by the World Health Organization. It is a holistic approach that uses specially-prepared homeopathic medicines that are safe, non-toxic, and environmentally friendly. Homeopathy stimulates the body's own healing processes, and is often used by laypersons to treat minor ailments at home such as colds, flu, or GI complaints.
Homeopathic constitutional treatment, which is what is offered here, involves a deeper assessment of a person, including their mental/emotional symptoms and what makes them "tick," as well as physical symptoms. Taken all together, these aspects form a kind of picture. Through an in-depth intake the prescriber strives to understand the patient and then find a remedy that will match this picture as closely as possible. The chosen remedy is given, and it stimulates a healing process. Then the patient and homeopath watch over time to see the response. Sometimes the person starts to feel better quickly while other times changes may be more subtle or take more time.
The patient undergoing homeopathic treatment is asked to be an active observer of their own symptoms and responses to treatment, and to be patient in allowing the body to heal itself over time, with homeopathy's help. Like any healing modality, homeopathy doesn't work for everyone. But for those who respond to it, homeopathic treatment can be powerful.
